Term 4 Planner 2020
Currently the Year 6's across the campus are busy planning for their end of year events including camp and graduation along with the production of the year book for 2020. This a very exciting time for our Year 6's as they enter the final term of their primary school careers!
Primary School Staff Development Day
On Monday 12 October, staff from the Primary School were busy at work on our School Development Day. During the day the staff undertook a review of our year, focusing on what is working well, and how we can improve in certain areas. We also looked at how we are meeting the needs of our students at SBPS. In addition, we undertook forward planning for the teaching and assessment which will take place this term. It was a very busy day.
TA29 Assembly
This week our year six students in TA29 performed their final primary school assembly item! We were all entertained with a humourous play about student life in TA29 at South Ballajura that got many laughs from the audience. A group of students also performed an Indonesian fan dance that was led by Ibu Francis. Thanks to Mrs Underwood, Ibu Francis and the students in TA29 for their entertaining show!

Families Who Are Leaving in 2021
Planning is well underway for the 2021 school year. If you are leaving the Primary or ESC school (NOT Year 6 students), please complete the slip below or phone the Primary School office on 9207 0100 or the ESC on 9207 0150and let us know. This will assist us in organising staff and classes for 2021. Please note that the Department of Education requires a nominated date in term one of return for students returning after 1 February 2021 in order for the school to be able to access funding.

A Water Safety First!
Students from ESC attended a Water Safety Program from Royal Life Saving WA. We are the first ESC School to run the program. The students learnt about water environments, including the beach, rivers, pools and ponds. The new interactive program was engaging all students. A huge thank you to Mrs Green for adding this to our successful Aquatic program. Looking forward to seeing them applying this knowledge at Interm Swimming Lessons.

Swimming Weeks 3 and 4 - TA14, TA7, TA16 and TA17 can ONLY order sandwiches for these two weeks.
All other classes nothing changes.
Thanks and regards
Bron and Kathy

Indonesian lessons are in full swing. Lots of revision is done at the start of each lesson through song, games and interactive activities.
Year 3 students are learning to name different food and drinks and understanding ‘healthy eating’.
Year 4's are adding weather words to their vocabulary and will be able to describe the weather of the day.
Year 5's have learnt to name some activities which can be done during leisure time and will continue to learn more. They will be to explain what they like doing during their free time.
Year 6 students are learning to name their body parts through song and by working on activities in their student portfolio.
Selamat belajar! Happy learning!
Salam Ibu Francis
On Thursday, 24 September, the Year 6's from TA 16, 28 and 29 were lucky to host the Year 9 students from BCC in the annual Science incursion. The activities were designed to improve scientific inquiry and literacy in young students and allow them to explore various scientific fields. The students and their teachers from BCC came and provided our students with some fantastic hands on experiments ranging from investigations using ‘dry ice’ creating never ending bubbles to making Ooblek. It was so inspiring for our next generation of scientists while great time was had by all involved.
