At the end of Term 1 the Year 6 classes set off for a two night/three day camp to Karem Adventure Camp in Bullsbrook. The students were very excited about attending the camp, they were the first class in many years to go on camp.
The camp offered students the opportunity to participate in physically and intellectually challenging activities, introducing them to new and rewarding experiences and providing them with supportive and caring relationships. Over the three days lots of fun was had by students, teachers and parents that attended. The days were action packed with adventure and activities; including treasure hunts, bush walking, ropes courses, golf and many more!
The children worked collaboratively in teams to develop social skills and learnt how to contribute to team goals and resolve interpersonal conflicts in a healthy way. Each evening activities were planned, there was a Minute to Win It night and a concert evening where children could showcase their hidden talents and entertain each other.
The camp proved to be an amazing experience filled with great memories that these students will have forever.
