The learning programs at South Ballajura Campus reflect the belief that children learn in different ways in an ever-changing world.
Teaching staff provide a wide range of learning opportunities to promote both academic and personal growth.
School Development Planning reflects the importance of Literacy and Numeracy programs offered to all students. The Junior sub school is involved in the Getting it Right Literacy Program. Education Support Centre students are involved in weekly Community Access Programs to promote transfer and generalisation of both academic and social skills.
The school has specialist teachers in Music, Visual Art, Physical Education and Lote – Indonesian for Year 3-6 students. Auslan is also offered to Education Support students.
Children are able to participate in Choir, Angklung and Signing Clubs as part of the school’s extra curricula activities. Students are tested in Year 4 and those identified are invited to participate in PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge) courses run for students in Years 5 & 6 by the District PEAC Centres.
Funding has enabled the school to purchase playground equipment, discussion tables and giant chess games to provide a range of interesting activities for children to access during recess and lunch times.
